Hassan Barakat Eliminated In 8th Place ($47,500)
Level 25
: 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
All in with his single 5,000 chip left, Hassan Barakat was a mere spectator when Denis Kapustin raised from the button to 160,000. Milos Petakovic called from the big blind, and a J♥3♦6♦ flop appeared on the felt.
On this first street, Kapustin bet 100,000, and was once again called. He raised his bet to 225,000 on the turn 4♣. But this time, Petakovic folded his A♣9♥.
Hassan Barakat: K♣6♣
Denis Kapustin: J♠7♠
Kapustin was in the lead with his pair of jacks. And he maintained his lead after the river 5♥, which gave him a straight. Finishing 8th, Barakat won $47,500.
